22 Year Old Male Arrested For Outstanding Warrants
A 22-year old male was arrested yesterday afternoon on outstanding warrants in relation to a domestic incident from March of 2005. In 2005 the accused was arrested and charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation in regards on an incident with an ex-girlfriend. The accused allegedly failed to attend court in relation to these charges and a warrant was subsequently issued. The accused will appear in bail court this morning.
Assault With A Weapon
A 45-year old female was arrested this morning and charged with one count of assault with a weapon and one count of possession of a weapon for purpose dangerous to public. It is alleged that the accused returned to the downtown residence she and her common-law boy friend share and grabbed a paring knife and swung it at the victim. The victim tried to move out of the way but was still received minor injuries that did not require medical treatment at the time. Police were called and the female was arrested. She will appear in bail court this morning.
51-Yr Old Man Arrested For Being In Library
Officers from Investigation Services arrested 51-year old Richard Beach of 25 Abbott Street yesterday morning. It is alleged that the accused was on a conditional sentence with conditions not to be in a public area where children under the age of 14 years of age were likely to be. The accused was located in the main public library and was subsequently arrested by officers. He will appear in bail court this morning.
Assault
A 39-year old male was arrested yesterday and charged with one count of assault. It is alleged that the accused assaulted his girlfriend by grabbing her by the throat, pouring mustard over her and banging her head against the wall. The incident occurred in a downtown residence on the 28th of April. The male will appear in court on June 7th.
Forgery
31-year old Jonathan Latour of 23 Main Street, Iron Bridge was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with one count of forgery. It is alleged that the accused used 2 photocopied American Express Travelers cheques to make two purchases at the Station Mall yesterday. The accused was apprehended by mall security and turned over to City Police. The accused will appear in court on June 5th.
Break & Enter Charge
22-year old Nathan McKay of 595 Northern Avenue was arrested late yesterday afternoon and charged with one count of break and enter and commit an indictable offence. It is alleged that the accused attended at an address in the 100 block of Old Garden River Road on April 22nd and assaulted male victim. The accused will appear in court on June 5th.
32-Yr Old Woman Arrested For Trying To Fill Forged Prescription
32-year old Lynda Filion of 151 Goulais Avenue was arrested yesterday afternoon and charged with two counts of uttering a forged document. It is alleged that the accused attempted to fill an altered prescription at the Zellers Pharmacy at the Station Mall but left while the pharmacy staff was verifying the prescription with the altered prescription form. It is alleged that the accused attended at the Rexall Pharmacy located at 612 2nd Line West and attempted to fill the forged prescription. The pharmacy staff was able to confirm that it was a forged prescription form and contacted City Police. The accused was arrested while leaving the store. She will appear in court on June 5th.
