On the 4th of May, 2015, officers from Patrol Services and Investigation Services began an investigation into a sexual assault. It is alleged that a 28-year-old male did sexually assault a 15-year-old female known to the accused.

On the 4th of May, 2015, officers from Patrol Services and Investigation Services began an investigation into a sexual assault.  It is alleged that a 28-year-old male did sexually assault a 15-year-old female known to the accused. The name of the accused is not being released in this incident to protect the identity of the victim. The male has been charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of sexual interference. The accused appeared in bail court on May 4.

On the 4th of May, 2015 just before 6 a.m., city police received a report of a break and enter to a garage on Westgate Drive.  Sometime overnight thieves entered the garage and stole assorted tools, three large blue coloured totes, coolers, a chainsaw, fishing rods and a manual wheelchair.

On the 4th of May, just after 8 a.m., city police received a report of a theft from a shed on Borden Avenue. A jiffy auger, a bike and tools were taken.

On May 4 a 31-year-old female breached a condition of her undertaking by communicating with her estranged husband via text message when she was on conditions to have no communication. As a result she was arrested by city police and will be appearing in Provincial Court June 10.

20-year-old Taylor Gouin of Ferguson Avenue and 23-year-old Melissa Sinclair of Chapple Street were both charged with shoplifting, after it is alleged they left Rome’s without paying for a package of Sushi in the afternoon of May 4. Further investigation revealed that Sinclair was wanted on outstanding warrants from 2013 for failing to appear in court and failing to appear for fingerprints from an earlier theft charge. Both accused will be appearing in Provincial Court on June 8.
