Evening news: 26 year old Katie Mattaini of Wawa turned herself in to City Police today as a result of being wanted on an outstanding warrant.

Evening news:

26 year old Katie Mattaini of Wawa turned herself in to City Police today as a result of being wanted on an outstanding warrant. She was wanted for being unlawfully at large as a result of not completing an intermittent sentence dating back to June 2013. There were also 2 counts of breaching a probation order regarding keeping the peace and to attend the Algoma Treatment and Remand Centre to complete her sentence. She will be appearing in Bail Court November 13th.

City Police attended to Walmart on Bay St today and charged 23 year old Kristiana Mattila of 179 Wellington St. E. with theft under $5000 and Breach of Probation. It is alleged she left the store with 2 box sets of CD’s without paying for them. She will be appearing in Provincial Court on December 16th.

52 year old Brian Currie of 310 North St.  was observed driving his vehicle while talking on a cellphone.  Mr. Currie was found to be a suspended driver  and to also be on a recognizance of bail with a condition not to be in possession of a cellphone.  As a result, he will be appearing in bail court on November 13, 2013.

Morning news:

On November 12, 2013 at 2:30 am Police Officers were called to an apartment complex on Trunk Rd. for a domestic dispute. Officers learned that an adult female had struck her boyfriend. No injuries were incurred. The female was arrested and charged with Assault. The accused will attend in court on Dec. 18th.
