Officers from Patrol Services arrested a 28-year old male this morning and charged him with one count of break and enter one count of robbery, one count of threatening death and one count of mischief.

Officers from Patrol Services arrested a 28-year old male this morning and charged him with one count of break and enter one count of robbery, one count of threatening death and one count of mischief.  It is alleged that on the 19th of November the accused attended at a west end residence, broke into the residence, assaulted the male victim and also threatened to kill him.  During the incident a table and stove were damaged. The accused also stole a television before leaving. The victim received non-life threatening injuries and did not require any medical treatment.  The name of the accused is not being released at it may identify the victim. The accused will appear in bail court on November 26, 2014 at 10:00 am.

On November 24, 2014 City Police attended at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center in regards to damage to the sprinkler system.  The accused Kyle Brian Madill age 34 was alone in his cell and ripped the sprinkler head off causing the fire alarm to go off.  The fire department responded to the alarm call. City Police arrest the accused Madill for mischief under $5000.00.  The accused will appear in bail court on November 26, 2014 at 10:00 am.

On November 24, 2014 City Police arrest an 18 year old accused male regarding a domestic breach.  It is alleged that on November 21, 2014 the accused contacted the victim after being released at bail court with court ordered conditions not to communicate with the victim in any way.  The accused was arrested for breach of recognizance and will appear in bail court on November 26, 2014 at 10:00 am.

Yesterday morning a homeowner on Churchill Boulevard reported that sometime over the weekend their residence was broken into. A Samsung television and a DVD player were taken.

Last evening just before 11 p.m., city police received a report of a male attempting to break into Thayer Lumber on Northland Road. A male suspect was observed attempting to pry open the door but fled the scene. The suspect was approximately 6 feet tall, approximately 180 pounds, was wearing a light blue toque, dark clothing and was carrying a packsack and crowbar. Officers followed footprints in the snow and believe the suspect got into a vehicle and fled the area.
