People to Appear in Bail Court
1) Officers from Investigation Services arrested a 23-year old male yesterday afternoon. The accused was observed in the downtown area and officers were aware that there was a warrant of arrest for the accused. The accused was wanted for one count of theft under $5,000, one count of threatening to cause death or bodily harm, one count of criminal harassment and one count of breach of probation. It is alleged that between June and October of this year the accused stole a ring from his ex-girlfriend, threatened to harm her and also made numerous phone calls to her residence.
2) 33-year old William McCulloch of 124 Letcher Street was arrested yesterday morning just after 5 am after City Police attended at a west-end residence for a disturbance call regarding a male yelling and screaming in an apartment building. When officers arrived it is alleged that the accused was kicking on the complainants door. The accused was arrested for cause a disturbance by being drunk. When the officers were arresting the accused it is alleged that he attempted to flee from them. It is further alleged that the accused bit one of the officers who was searching him. The accused has been charged with one count of cause a disturbance by being drunk, one count of resist arrest and one count of assault police officer.
3) Officers from Investigation Services arrested 30-year old Robert Delayer of 2-37 Hughes Street yesterday afternoon. It is alleged that on the 4th of November the accused got into a fight with another male at a downtown residence. The accused and victim are known to each other. The victim received injuries that required medical treatment. The accused has been charged with one count of aggravated assault.
Break & Enter
City Police received one break and enter report in the last 24-hour period. A home on Borden Avenue was entered and a circular saw, table saw, flashlight and two phones were taken. The incident occurred between the 3rd and 6th of November.
Vehicle/Pedestrian Collision
Officers from Traffic Services are continuing their investigation into a motor vehicle collision yesterday that occurred just before 12 noon. A 69-year old male was walking northbound on Farwell Terrace in the crosswalk and was crossing Second Line West. A pickup truck operated by a 51-year old male was traveling southbound on Farwell Terrace and made a left turn onto Second Line West and allegedly struck the pedestrian. The pedestrian was taken by ambulance to the Sault Area Hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries.
