On October 27, 2014, officers from Investigation Services, Patrol Services, Emergency Services, the Drug Enforcement Unit and the Crime Suppression Unit arrested two males in relation to two home invasion incidents from earlier this month.

It is alleged that on October 19 the two accused males attended at an address on Wellington Street East and forced their way into the residence where they assaulted an adult male in the residence with a baseball bat. The victim did not require medical attention for minor injuries.  

It is alleged that on October 22 the two accused males attended at the same address on Wellington Street East and again forced their way into the residence. A gun was held to the victim’s head while the apartment was gone through.  

20-year-old Daved Nadon of Cunningham Street, Bruce Mines, has been charged with two counts of assault with a weapon, two counts of break and enter and commit an offence, one count of possession of a firearm while prohibited, one count of disguise with intent, one count of pointing a firearm, one count of possession of a weapon for purpose dangerous to the public and one count of breach of probation.

30-year-old Michael Bjornaa of no fixed address has been charged with two counts of break and enter and commit an offence, two counts of assault with a weapon, one count of possession of a firearm while prohibited, one count of pointing a firearm, one count of possession of a weapon for purpose dangerous to the public and one count of breach of probation.

The victim and the accused persons were known to each other. 

Both males will appear in bail court on October 28.
