Sometime between September 5 at 2 p.m., and Sunday, September 6, a residence on Salisbury Avenue was broken into. A small amount of cash was taken. Sometime between September 5 at 6 p.m., and September 7 at 7 p.m.

Sometime between September 5 at 2 p.m., and Sunday, September 6, a residence on Salisbury Avenue was broken into. A small amount of cash was taken.

Sometime between September 5 at 6 p.m., and September 7 at 7 p.m., a residence on Leo Avenue was broken into. Items taken include PS4 console, an iMac 27 inch desktop computer, two televisions as well as several other items.

On September 7 just after 5 p.m., city police attended at a residence on Bainbridge Street for a break and enter. An alert neighbour noticed a male breaking into the residence and chased him away. The suspect is described as being 6 feet tall, Caucasian, in his mid to late 20’s, with short dark hair. The suspect was also wearing white sunglasses and a red plaid shirt. Nothing was taken from the residence.

On September 7 sometime between 7:30 and 2 p.m. a residence on North Street was broken into. It is unknown if anything was taken at this time.

Over the weekend vehicles on Tilley Road, Pentagon Boulevard, Stevens Street, North Street and Spadina Avenue were entered.  Items taken include wallets and contents, money, identification and passports. The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service would once again like to remind citizens not to leave items of value in your vehicle.

On September 7, 2015 at 11:30 a.m., city police attended in the central area of the city in regard to a domestic disturbance. A 22-year-old female was arrested and charged with mischief under $5,000 after she allegedly damaged the door to the residence of her ex. She will be appearing in court on October 14, 2015.

On September 7, 2015 at 12 p.m., city police attended at the Greyhound bus terminal and arrested a 44-year-old male from Nipigon, ON who was attempting to leave the city. It is alleged that on September 6, 2015, the accused, while intoxicated, attended at the residence of his ex-girlfriend and daughter in contravention of a recognizance of bail that required him to abstain from alcohol, not to be within 100 metres of their residence and not to communicate with them. He will be appearing in Bail Court on September 8, 2015.

On September 7, 2015 at 6:15 p.m., city police arrested and charged a 27-year-old male in relation to a number of domestic offences in the west end of the city. The investigation by patrol officers revealed that between August 10, 2015 and September 6, 2015, the male allegedly assaulted and forcibly confined the victim and damaged and stole her property. He was charged with forcible confinement X 2, assault X 2, mischief under $5,000 X 4 and theft under $5,000 X 2. He will be appearing in Bail Court on September 8, 2015.
