Two people were arrested on Tuesday after police say a stolen credit card was used at a Bay Street business.
The credit card in question was inside a wallet that was stolen from a victim on King Street, says a news release.

On Dec. 19, 2023, officers with Patrol Services charged 34-year-old Kain Bourck and 35-year-old Melissa Favaro with multiple offences in connection with an incident of theft.
Around 5 p.m., 911 Communicators received a report of someone using a stolen credit card at a business in the 200 block of Bay Street. Officers attended the business and located both accused. They were arrested.
Further investigation revealed Kain Bourck had [allegedly] stolen a victim’s wallet, containing a quantity of cash, debit, and credit cards, in the 0-100 block of King Street earlier that day. This accused then attended a business in the 200 block of Bay Street with Melissa Favaro, who used the stolen credit card to make several purchases.
The first accused is charged with:
• Theft under $5,000
• Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000
• Failure to comply with release order x2
This accused is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
The second accused is charged with:
• Use of stolen credit card x2
This accused was released on an undertaking and is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 12, 2024.
