Police have charged two people in connection with a report of a break-and-enter at a business on Pim Street early this morning.

Around 2 a.m., a 911 call was received reporting a break and enter in progress at a business in the 0-100 block of Pim.

Police say officers saw two people leaving the business as they arrived. Both people were arrested.

One was found to be in possession of a replica handgun while the other was found with bolt cutters and a plastic toy handgun, according to police.

As a result, 28-year-old Ryan McLeish has been charged with breaking and entering with intent as well as possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Also charged was 30-year-old Brittany Sago, who has been charged with breaking and entering with intent, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, possession of break in instruments, failure to comply with release order (x2), and probation order: non-compliance - failing to keep the peace and be of good behaviour.

Both were held in custody pending a bail hearing.
