Two charged after police interrupt break-in at Trelawne Avenue business

Police say the two accused were in possession of approximately $636 worth of stolen items

Two Saultites have been charged with break and enter after an early-morning break-in at a business.

Police say they responded to a break and enter in progress at a business in the 100 block of Trelawne Avenue at 4:24 a.m. today.

Officers responded and located the two accused in the area. According to a press release issued by Sault Police today, a subsequent search of the area found the two accused to be in possession of approximately $636 worth of stolen items.

As a result, Karlyle Bookman, 23, and Riky Ferguson, 25, have both been arrested and charged with break and enter and possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime.

Bookman is scheduled to appear in court on Feb. 22, 2021.

Ferguson-Denis faces the additional charges of breach of recognizance (four counts) and two counts of breach of probation. He was held for bail court.
