Two face weapons charges after Wellington St. robbery: Police

On June 26, 2021 officers with Patrol Services charged 18-year-old Klinton Fleming and 39-year-old Misty Fleming with weapon offences.

Sault Ste. Marie Police have charged two with weapons offences after a robbery on Wellington Street West on Saturday.

Police say around 12 p.m., the two accused were involved in a robbery where a firearm was used to threaten the victim.

According to a press release issued by police today, officers located the two accused in the area of Wellington Street West. 

During a subsequent search of the area, officers say they located a firearm in a storm sewer.

Both have been charged with careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose, unauthorized possession of a firearm and knowingly possessing an unauthorized firearm.

Misty Fleming faces additional charges of uttering threats and assault with a weapon.

Both were released on undertaking and are scheduled to appear in court on Aug. 9, 2021.
