Airbags were deployed in one vehicle; no injuries have been reported

Sault Police are carefully monitoring traffic at the Wellington Street East and Pine Street intersection following a two-vehicle collision this afternoon.

Damage to the front-ends of a pickup truck and a car have left debris scattered across the roadway.

Airbags were deployed in the car, while the truck was towing a boat at the time of the incident.

Paramedics were not on the scene when SooToday arrived and no injuries have yet been reported.

A cruiser with the Anishinabek Police Service also attended the incident for a short time.

As of 4 p.m., traffic was blocked at the intersection for motorists intending to travel through Pine Street, as well as eastbound on Wellington.
