One person has been charged in relation to a robbery at a Trunk Road business yesterday afternoon.

"Investigation revealed someone, later identified as the accused, had attempted to leave without paying for several items, says a news release issued by the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service. "When confronted by a staff member, the accused made a threatening gesture with a utility knife and left."

The accused was located a short time later by investigating officers.

As a result of this investigation, 24-year-old Nicholas Jones is scheduled to appear in court on Sept. 25 to face one charge of robbery.
