Police hope to identify suspect

Sault Police hope to identify a suspect after a stolen credit card was used at a Wellington Street West business.

The incident in question occurred on the evening of Dec. 7.

Full text of a news release issued today by Crime Stoppers follows:

Crime Stoppers and the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service are requesting your assistance in identifying a suspect involved in an incident of fraud.

On Dec. 7, 2020 at approximately 5:30 p.m., an unknown male used a stolen credit card at a business in the 200 block of Wellington Street West.

It is believed that the wallet containing identification and bank cards were stolen from a vehicle earlier that day.
