CORRECTION: An earlier version of this article stated that the suspect assaulted employees. In fact, he is accused of threatening to assault employees.
Police are currently searching for the person responsible for stealing items and threatening to assault staff at Rome's grocery store on Dec. 7.
A news release issued by Crime Stoppers says that around noon, "the male suspect took several items concealing them in a bag and attempted to leave the store. When staff confronted the male as he exited, the male threatened to assault the staff and fled."
The incident was captured on video surveillance.
