Wanted man busted with $2,900 worth of fentanyl, meth and cocaine: police

A 58-year-old man who was wanted on an outstanding warrant is now facing multiple drug trafficking charges after Sault Police spotted him on Gloucester Street.

He was arrested around 1 p.m. on Oct. 3.

Sault Police allege say a subsequent search turned up $2,900 worth of illicit drugs, including 11 grams of suspected methamphetamine and three grams each of suspected fentanyl and cocaine.

Scott Carson is charged with:

  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance for the Purpose of Trafficking x2
  • Possession of a Schedule I Substance
  • Failure to Comply with Appearance Notice

He was released on an appearance notice and is scheduled back in court on Dec. 4, 2023.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Carson is considered innocent unless proven guilty.
