Breach via facebook On April 10, 2013 a 50 year old male was arrested in regard to a domestic situation. The male was on a Probation order with numerous conditions regarding his ex-girlfriend.

On April 10, 2013 a 50 year old male was arrested in regard to a domestic situation.  The male was on a Probation order with numerous conditions regarding his ex-girlfriend.  The male contacted the victim over Facebook and was found to be in breach of his conditions.  He was charged with Breach of Probation X 4 and will be appearing in Bail Court on April 11, 2013.

Having Care and Control while ability impaired

 On April 10, 2013 at approximately 12:45 p.m., City Police attended at a business in the 300 block of Great Northern Rd. regarding a complaint of a male passed out behind the wheel of a car in the parking lot of the business.  Investigation revealed the male to be under the influence of alcohol.  Albert King, 56 years old, of 64 Birkshire Place was arrested and charged with Having Care and Control while ability impaired and over the legal limit of alcohol in his blood.

Update on April 8th Home Invasion

The Sault Ste. Marie Police Service is seeking the public’s assistance in locating a second male involved in a home invasion that took place on April 8th of this year.  Yesterday evening officers arrested 34 year old William Patrick Ross in relation to this incident.  Officers are now looking for 22 year old Caleb Joseph Seaton.  Mr. Seaton is currently wanted for Break and Enter, Assault, Assault with a weapon, Threatening, Forcible Confinement, Weapons dangerous to the public and Possession of a prohibited weapon.  Any of the public who may come across Mr. Seaton is advised not to approach him and contact city police immediately.

One male is in custody and a warrant has been issued for a second suspect involved in a home invasion robbery on 08 April 2013 at approximately 11:30 p.m. at a residence on Albert St. West.  William Patrick Ross age 34 of 173 Elmwood Avenue has been charged with disguise with intent, weapons dangerous, assault, threatening, forcible confinement, and break and enter.  A 22 year old male is also being sought for the same crimes.

On or about the 8Apr13 at approximately 23:30 hours William Patrick Ross and the second suspect broke into a residence on Albert St. West.  While in the apartment the accused persons threatened two victims with a weapon dangerous to the public (a knife), assaulted one of the victims by tackling and punching him and further forcibly confined the victims in the residence while they stole cash from them.  The second suspect bear sprayed the victim while committing this robbery.  William Ross wore a mask during the commission of this offence. Ross will be in bail court today.

Officers with the Patrol Services Section of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 46 year old Lee-Ann Hudebine of 181 James Street unit 1 for theft under $5,000 yesterday afternoon.  It is alleged that around 4:30 p.m. the accused went to the No Frills Grocery store on Korah Road where she selected just over $29.00 worth of meat products and left the store without paying for them.  The accused was apprehended by store security and turned over to police.  She will appear in court on May 13th of this year.

A 34 year old male is in custody and will also be attending bail court this morning charged with breach of probation, mischief and making harassing phone calls.  The accused was on a probation order to not molest, harass or annoy the victim relating to previous domestic incident. On 08 April 2013 he texted and left 28 voice mails for the victim.  Also, in March he smashed a cordless phone belonging to the victim.

An 18 year old male is in custody after recently being charged and convicted on domestic related charges. On the 08Apr13 at approximately 13:50 hours, the accused, breached his probation order issued on the 03Apr13 by communicating with the victim by confronting her and harassing her at the city bus terminal.  He has been charged with 3 counts of breach of probation and is being held for bail court.

A break and enter was reported in the 500 block of Dundas Street.  Entry was gained between 3:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m.  through a dog door.  A laptop was taken.

20 year old Kyle Gillingham of 16 Lewis Road has been charged with impaired driving, operating a motor vehicle exceeding the legal limits of alcohol, theft and possession of a stolen motor vehicle.  Officers were westbound on Queen at Bingham Street when they were confronted with an oncoming vehicle travelling eastbound the wrong way on Queen Street.  The driver was found to be intoxicated and the vehicle stolen from the parking lot of a bar.  Gillingham will appear in court on 15 April 2013.

A robbery was reported at 03:16 a.m. this morning at Mac’s Mart on Gore St.  Officers arrived within 1 minute after the call was received and tracked the area with the K9 unit.  Male suspect is described as 5’2” – 5’5” inches tall wearing a black fedora hat with a black handkerchief over his face.  He had on a red long sleeve shirt and black pants which are described as being too large and very baggy. He was wearing black and white running shoes.  He was carrying a kitchen knife with an 8 inch blade.  Taken were some packages of Export A Gold cigarettes and a small amount of cash. The search is continuing in the downtown area at the time of this release.
