On April 14, 2014, a male attended a Great Northern Road business and is alleged to have removed a reciprocating saw from its box, hide it in his waistband and walk out of the store without paying for it.

On April 14, 2014, a male attended a Great Northern Road business and is alleged to have removed a reciprocating saw from its box, hide it in his waistband and walk out of the store without paying for it. He is also alleged to have stolen some metal brackets from the same store on an earlier occasion. Charged with theft x2 is Ronald Arthurs (age 52) of Chicora Cresent. He will be appearing in court on May 12, 2014, at 9 a.m.

On April 15, 2014, a male entered a local grocery store where it is alleged he stole $250 in meat. He exited the store without paying for the groceries where he was stopped and detained by security staff. It is further alleged the man then tried to use stolen identification to pass himself off as someone he was not. His true identity was discovered. Charged with theft under $5,000, possession of stolen property and breach of probation is Gordon Robert Petts (age 53) of Edinburgh Street. He will be appearing in bail court on April 16, 2014 at 10 a.m.
