On April 19, 2016, city police arrested and charged Elliot Southwind, 34 years, of Point Charles Road, Garden River, ON with theft under $5,000. It is alleged that the accused attended at a grocery store in the east end of the city and left without paying for $327 worth of groceries. He will appear in court on May 30, 2016.
On April 19, 2016, city police arrested and charged Michael Sweeney, 56 years and Linda Filion, 42 years, of Albert Street East with theft under $5,000 and breach of probation. It is alleged that on April 12, 2016 both accused attended at a store in the Station Mall and left without paying for two pairs of shoes, valued at $200. Both accused will appear in court on May 30, 2016.
