On April 29, 2015 Sault Ste Marie Police arrested 41-year-old Annette Denis of Franklin St. It is alleged that the accused assaulted a male victim by punching, pushing and scratching him. The accused has been charged with one count of assault and will appear in court on May 25.
On April 29, 2015, 33-year-old Brendan Gignac of Church St. turned himself in at the police station. Gignac was charged with one count of failing to comply with his recognizance. Gignac will appear in court on June 1.
On April 28, 2015 at approximately 3:17 p.m., city police observed a female at the Cambrian Mall that was known to the officer and known to have an outstanding warrant for failing to attend for finger printing. Subsequently the accused Jessie Lyne Neyland, age 28 of Mission Road, Goulais River, was arrested and upon search, the accused was allegedly found to be in possession of a quantity of marijuana and suspected cocaine. The accused was later released and is scheduled to appear in court on June 1, 2015 at 9 a.m.
On April 29, 2015 at approximately 1:35 a.m., city police arrested a male for impaired driving in the area of Franklin Street. A request for a breath sample into a road side screening device was done but the accused refused to provide a sample. The accused was also on a recognizance with court ordered conditions to reside at a specific address, not to have care and control of a motor vehicle and not to be in the driver’s seat of a motor vehicle. The accused Stephen Wayne Connor, age 67 of Franklin Street, is scheduled to appear in bail court on April 29, 2015 at 10 a.m.
