Afternoon news On April 30, 2014 at approximately 3:10am officers responded to a domestic dispute. Investigation revealed that a 52 year old male assaulted the victim by pulling her hair and choking her.

On April 30, 2014 at approximately 3:10am officers responded to a domestic dispute.  Investigation revealed that a 52 year old male assaulted the victim by pulling her hair and choking her. A family member intervened and police arrested the accused for assault.  The accused did appear in bail court today at 10:00am.

On April 24, 2014 a Microsoft tablet and key board went missing from a local high school. During the week a male age 14 was seen with the items.  Several attempts were made to have the computer items returned but that did not happen.  The accused was arrest for possession of stolen property and will appear in court on Tuesday June 14, 2014 at 9:30am.

A 29-year-old male is in custody charged with 2 counts of assault stemming from domestic incidents. It is alleged the accused punched the victim repeatedly in the arms on 2 occasions. He will appear in bail court this morning.

45-year-vold James Guertin of Grace Street is in custody charged with assault, assault with a weapon, forcible confinement and threatening after an incident earlier today where he became involved in a fight with another male known to him.  During the incident it is alleged that he threatened the victim and his family, refused to let the victim leave while armed with a knife and struck the victim with the blunt end of an axe. The victim did not require medical attention. Guertin will appear in bail court this morning.
