Male Charged with Consuming over the Legal Limit
39-year old William Dunn of Potterville, Michigan will appear in bail court this morning. It is alleged that around 10:30 pm last night the accused was detained by officials from Canada Customs, as it appeared the accused was driving under the influence of alcohol. The accused was turned over to City Police and subsequently charged with one count of consume over the legal limit.
Breach of an Undertaking
At approx. 1:50 PM yesterday afternoon City Police arrested two youths and charged them with Breaching an Undertaking by associating and communicating with each other. This incident took place on Queen St. East. As a result of their arrests the youths were taken to the police station to be processed. While at the station officers received a call to attend at the residence of one of the youths regards possible stolen property. Through investigation officers were able to determine that one of the youths had property stolen from Sir James Dunn High School. The stolen property is described as three computer towers and four musical instruments. As a result of this investigation one youth was charged with breaching an undertaking and will be appearing in Bail Court today at 10:00 AM. The second youth is charged with two counts of Theft Under $ 5,000, two counts of Possession of Stolen Property and one Breach of Undertaking and will be appearing in Bail Court at 10:00 AM today.
Impaired Driving Charges Laid
Shortly after 1 am this morning it is alleged that 42-year old Eri Ianni-Palarchio of 163 Estelle Street was operating his car westbound on Henrietta Street when he struck a parked pickup truck. City Police were called and the investigation revealed that the accused was allegedly under the influence of alcohol. The male was subsequently arrested and charged with one count of impaired driving and one count of consume over the legal limit. He will appear in court on September 19th. The pickup truck received moderate damage and the accused’s car was severely damaged.
Youth Charged with Mischief
Yesterday afternoon City Police arrested a young person and charged the youth with Mischief. It is alleged that the youth punched two holes in the wall of a residence in the 200 block of Langdon Rd. The youth will be appearing in court on Sept. 13th at 9:30 AM to answer the charge.
Motor Vehicle Collision
Yesterday morning just before 11:30 am City Police attended in the 800 block of Pine Street for a motor vehicle collision with injuries. It is alleged that James Perlini of 108 Charles Street was traveling southbound on Pine Street in his car. Another car operated by Debra Marcil of 108-125 Cambridge Place was also traveling southbound on Pine Street. It is alleged that Mr. Perlini started to reverse into a civic address in the 800 block of Pine Street and as a result his vehicle reversed into the path of the Marcil vehicle. Mrs. Marcil was taken by ambulance to the hospital for treatment of non-life threatening injuries. Mr. Perlini has been charged under the Highway Traffic Act of Ontario with one count of start from stopped position-not in safety. Both vehicles received moderate damage.
