Evening Release A break and enter was reported to a residence in the 100 block of Maple Street between 5:45 p.m. on August 27th and 7:20 a.m. on August 28th. Once inside the culprits stole the keys to a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe and stole the vehicle.

A break and enter was reported to a residence in the 100 block of Maple Street between 5:45 p.m. on August 27th and 7:20 a.m. on August 28th. Once inside the culprits stole the keys to a 1999 Chevrolet Tahoe and stole the vehicle. The vehicle is grey and has Ontario plates, BETP 270 .

A resident in the 100 block of Corey Avenue reported that between August 23rd and August 28th, unknown persons broke into their residence and stole a quantity of jewelry.

A resident in the 100 block of Reid Street reported that between August 23rd and August 28th, unknown persons broke into their residence. Nothing was reported stolen and it is suspected that an audible alarm scared the suspects away.

A garage was reported entered on Rosedale Place. It also appears that an attempt was made to enter the residence but was not successful. Nothing was reported stolen.

20 year old Ryan Young of 306 Korah Rd #20 turned himself in on warrants. It is alleged that he failed to attend for fingerprints and for court on a charge of theft under $5000. He was released with a new court date of September 30th.

44 year old Stephen Kerr of 2111 Canoe Pointe Road St. Joseph Island was arrested for breaching a release document. It is alleged that the accused was on a release document with a condition to notify the police if he changed his address if he moved and he failed to do so. He will be appearing in court on September 30th.

Arrests/Charged Persons:

On August 27, 2013 at 5:35pm police attended the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center and charged a male inmate with breaching a court order.  The accused had been remanded to the Treatment and Remand Center as a result of a domestic incident in the early part of August 2013 and was ordered to have no communication with a female while in custody.  It is alleged the male sent a letter to the female, breaching his no communication order.  He will appear in bail court August 28, 2013.

On August 27, 2013 at 5:50pm officers from patrol services attended at the Station Mall and arrested and charged 37 year old Patrick Woodcock of 13 Fisher Park Rd, Aweres Township for theft under $5000.00.  It is alleged Woodcock attended at  Ardene’s in the Station Mall and left the store with clothing valued at $57 without making any attempt to pay for the items.  He is scheduled to appear in court September 30/2013.

On the morning of August 28, 2013 at approximately 1:00am patrol officers responded to a report of a disturbance on London Street in the city of Sault Ste. Marie.  As a result of their investigation officers arrested a 45 year old male.   It is alleged the accused was found to be intoxicated contrary to the conditions of his probation which stem from a previous domestic incident.  A search of the accused subsequent to his arrest resulted in officers locating a small quantity of marijuana.  The male has been charged with breaching the conditions of his probation and possession of a controlled substance.  He will appear in court September 30, 2013

Break and Enter report

There was an attempt break and enter to a residence on Meadow Park Cres. on the 27th of August, 2013 between 4:15pm and 8:45pm.  Entry was not gained. 

On the 27th of August, 2013 a travel trailer was broken into in the 500 block of Northern Ave between 7:00pm and 10:00pm.  Nothing was taken.

A residence in the 100 block of Maple St. was broken into between 5:15pm on the 27th August and 7:20am on the 28th of August.  Keys to a motor vehicle were taken.
