On December 2, 2014 while in custody at the Algoma Treatment and Remand Center the accused Dale Roger Boyer, age 40, allegedly assaulted a Correction Officer. It is alleged that the accused was caught smoking which is a prohibited activity at the facility. The accused [is alleged to have] pushed the victim with both hands striking the victim in the chest. City police attended on December 3, 2014 and arrested the accused for assault. The accused will appear in bail court on December 4, 2014 at 10 a.m.
On December 3, 2014 at approximately 10:15 a.m. City Police responded to a call in the west end of the City regarding a young person age 17 in possession of a controlled substance. Officers met with the accused and a search revealed that he was in possession of 15 grams of suspected marihuana. The accused is charged with possession of a controlled substance and will appear in court on January 6, 2014 at 9:30 a.m.

A 21-year-old male was arrested by city police officers overnight on an outstanding warrant for a domestic related assault. He will be appearing in Bail Court later this morning.
City police were called to a residence in the 700 block of Wellington Street East overnight regarding a male to be removed at the request of the homeowner. The male refused to leave, even after officers made several requests for him to do so and eventually resisted the officers when they attempted to remove him. 58-year-old Rheal Philion of no fixed address was charged with fail to leave premises when directed and resisting arrest and will be appearing in Bail Court on December 3.
