On December 9, 2015 at 2:30 a.m. officers arrested 23-year-old Taylor Corboy of Third Line West. It is alleged that at 2 a.m. the accused was leaving an east end bar and struck another vehicle in the lot.

On December 9, 2015 at 2:30 a.m. officers arrested 23-year-old Taylor Corboy of Third Line West. It is alleged that at 2 a.m. the accused was leaving an east end bar and struck another vehicle in the lot. The accused recklessly drove his vehicle out of the lot failing to remain at the accident. The accused returned to the lot a short time later and again drove his vehicle dangerously in the lot striking a pedestrian and failing to remain at the second accident scene.

Officers observed the accused’s vehicle driving at a high rate of speed on Second Line West and conducted a traffic stop. Upon contact with the driver officers determined that the accused ability to operate the motor vehicle was impaired. The accused has been charged with impaired operation of a motor vehicle, operate a vehicle with excess blood alcohol, two counts of dangerous driving and two counts of failing to remain at an accident. The accused will appear in court on January 11.

On December 8, 2015 a male entered a local variety store in the area of Gore Street. It is alleged that the male concealed a Bluetooth Disco Light speaker in a bag he was carrying. After paying for one item the male left the store without attempting to pay for the concealed item. A review of the store video, assisted police in arresting the accused Edward Roland Martel, age 52.  A further check was done and it was found that there were outstanding warrants for failing to attend court X 2 and theft under $5,000. The accused will appear in bail court on December 9, 2015 at 10 a.m.
