Yesterday during the daytime hours, a home on Rossmore Road was broken into. The break in was reported last evening.

Yesterday during the daytime hours, a home on Rossmore Road was broken into. The break in was reported last evening. Items taken include a hot pink Sony Vaio laptop, gold cufflinks with engraving on them, a Rolex watch, a pair of Ray Ban sunglasses, as well as some china.

Around 11 p.m. last night, thieves attempted to enter a residence on Fauquier Avenue but appear to have been scared off before entry was gained.

On February 4, 2014, at approximately 7:57 p.m., police responded to a domestic incident in the 300 block of Dacey Road. On arrival officers could hear a female pleading with a male to leave and let her go. Further investigation revealed that the accused, age 39, had assaulted the victim on February 3, 2014, and again on February 4, 2014. The accused was arrested for assault X 2 and he was removed. The accused will appear in bail court on February 5, 2014 at 10 a.m.

On February 4, 2014, Sault Ste. Marie Police travelled to Toronto, Ontario to pick up an accused male, age 22, that had been picked up by the British Columbia Sheriff’s office on outstanding warrants from this district. The past incident stemmed from domestic matters. The accused is charged with 2 counts of breach of probation and another charge of unlawfully at large. The warrants were executed and the accused was transported back to the Sault. The accused will appear in court on February 5, 2014, at 10 a.m.
