Afternoon news On January 1, 2014 police attended in the 100 block of Sutton Place regarding a break and enter in progress. On attending officers arrested a lone male subject just a short distance from the reported incident.

On January 1, 2014 police attended in the 100 block of Sutton Place regarding a break and enter in progress. On attending officers arrested a lone male subject just a short distance from the reported incident.  It is alleged that the accused kicked open the front door of a residence and proceeded upstairs.  The accused was confronted by the resident and he fled the residence.  The accused Brandon Joseph Lavallee age 19 of no fixed address was arrested for unlawfully in a dwelling house and mischief.  A further check of the accused was done and it was found that the accused was on 4 different court order releases.  The accused was also charged with breach of probation X 2, breach of recognizance X 2 and breach of an Officer In Charge undertaking.  The accused will appear in wash court (weekend and statutory holiday court) today.

On January 1, 2014 at approximately 4:19am officers attended in the 100 block of St. Georges Avenue regarding a male that had entered a vehicle without permission.  The male was apprehended by police. It is alleged that the accused stole a small amount of change but also damaged a Sirius radio system.  The male was arrest by police for theft under $5000 and mischief.  The accused was found to be in an intoxicated state.  The accused will appear in court on February 3, 2014 at 9:00am

On December 31, 2013 at approximately 8 p.m., City Police arrested a 26 year old female in regard to a domestic dispute.  The investigation revealed that the accused had breached numerous conditions of her Probation order.  As a result she was charged with Breach of Probation X 5.  She will appear in WASH Court on January 1, 2014.

On  January 1, 2014 at approximately 12:40 a.m., City Police attended at a motor vehicle collision at Boundary Road and Southmarket Street.  An off-duty officer witnessed the collision and followed one of the vehicles which failed to stop.  The officer managed to stop the vehicle on Boundary Road near Dell Avenue.  Patrol officers attended and arrested the driver, James Pinnell, 49 years, of 52 Indiana Drive for impaired driving and fail to remain.  He will be appearing in court on February 3, 2014.
