On January 21, 2015 at 9:58 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged Brandon Whorrall, age 28 of Wellington St. East, with breach of recognizance. The accused is alleged to have breached his recognizance by not following court imposed conditions.

On January 21, 2015 at 9:58 am Patrol Officers arrested and charged Brandon Whorrall, age 28 of Wellington St. East, with breach of recognizance. The accused is alleged to have breached his recognizance by not following court imposed conditions. He will appear in court on February 23.

On January 8, 2015 a 17-year-old young person [allegedly] shoplifted alcohol from the LCBO at 616 Great Northern Rd. The youth was identified by staff and later presented them a false drivers license for identification.  On January 21, 2015 Patrol Officers arrested and charged the youth with personation and theft under $5,000. The young person will appear in court on February 24.

Investigation continuing into douglas street fatality

Officers from Investigation Services and Traffic Services are continuing their investigation into the fatality from last week. Officers from Investigation Services are again appealing to any witnesses who were on the city bus that was traveling along the Steelton route on Friday January 16, 2015 between 8:45 a.m. and 9:30 a.m. while the bus was on Douglas Street. If you were on that bus, please contact the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service at 705-949-6300 ext 210. No further details are being released at this time.
