Afternoon release: 46 year old male, Lonnie Gallant of 234 Brien Ave., attended at Food Basics on Pine St where he allegedly stole approx. $23.00 in food items.

Afternoon release:

46 year old male, Lonnie Gallant of 234 Brien Ave., attended at Food Basics on Pine St where he allegedly stole approx. $23.00 in food items. He was arrested and charged with theft under $5000, he was also given a court date of Feb 25 2013.

19 year old male Steven Stunell of 519 Cathcart St. attended the West Side Café where they ordered food a left without paying both were charged with Food Fraud. He was given a court date of Feb 25 2013.

14 Motor vehicle collisions were reported to the City Police and the Collision Reporting Centre in the last 24 hours.

22 year old Joseph Owl of 222 Albert Street E. was arrested by City Police officers overnight when they received a call that a male was acting suspicious in the area of 49 St.Marys River Drive. Mr. Owl was found to be under the influence and he was on a Probation order which prohibited him from consuming alcohol. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on February 25th.

City Police officers attended to an east end restaurant overnight after they were called there because someone had kicked at and broke an exterior glass door to the establishment. 19 year old Jennifer Nolan – Gibbs of 185 White Birch Drive, Garden River, was arrested for mischief and she will be appearing in Court on the 25th of February as well.

A 45 year old male was arrested on the 22nd of January for 3 counts of threatening death and one count of making harassing phone calls to a female complainant known to him. All three threats were made over the phone. One was left as a message and another of the threats was made to the complainant’s sister over the phone as well. The accused male will be appearing in Bail Court later today.

26 year old Jason Whalen of 278 6th Ave. will be appearing in Bail Court today as well after he was arrested by City Police on an outstanding warrant for failing to attend court from the 21st of January.
