On January 30, 2013, the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service Street Team executed a CDSA search warrant at 58 Wellington St. W. Apt. 3. Officers located 197.5 grams of Marihuana, some of which was packaged for sale. Officers also located scales, money, packaging and other drug paraphernalia. Value of the Marihuana seized was $3950.00.
As a result of the investigation, Jonathan Corbiere, age 31 and Christine Wynne, age 31, both of that address, were arrested and charged with Possession of Marihuana for the Purpose of Trafficking. Both parties will appear in Court on March 4, 2013.

On the 29th of January 2013 Dillon Quesnel (age 20) of 34 Johnson Ave was charged with theft under $5,000.00. It is alleged he stole 2 energy drinks from a local grocery store. He was apprehended by an alert security guard who caught him leaving the store without any effort to pay. He will be appearing in court on the 4th of March 2013.

A 52 year old male was arrested by City Police officers overnight for a domestic related assault. It is alleged the male pushed a kitchen table into the female victim and then pushed her until she fell on the floor. He will be appearing on Provincial Court on March the 6th.

City Police officers arrested a 26 year old male on the 29th of January on an outstanding Domestic related warrant. The male was found hiding in an apartment closet of a female who he was on several conditions not to be around. The warrant charges included one count of assault on the female victim where it is alleged on the 10th of January he pushed her in an east end parking lot. He was also on conditions at that time with regards to the same female dealing with non communication, not to molest harass or annoy, remain 50 metres away from her and keep the peace and be good. Due to the fact he was found in her company again, he was further charged with 7 more counts of breaching the earlier mentioned conditions as well as possession of marihuana which he also had on his person. He will be appearing in Bail Court on the 30th.

44 year old Robert O’Brien Hall of 243 McNabb St. was arrested by City Police on the 29th of January for one count of breaching a Recognizance of Bail. It is alleged Mr. Hall was in the area of employment of a female complainant where he was on conditions not to be around. Mr.Hall will be appearing in Bail Court later today as well.

A theft of copper wire valued at $7500.00 was reported to City Police overnight. It appears that sometime between 10:30 pm and 12:30 am thieves gained entry to the compound at Essar Steel off of Wallace Terrace by making a hole in the fence and removing approximately 90 feet of the wire. No suspects at the time of this report.

A 24 year old male was arrested early this morning for Domestic assault. It is alleged he had an argument with the female victim and during the course of that argument he struck her in the shoulder. The male will be appearing in Bail Court later this morning.
