Theft and domestic violence charges

The following are news releases from the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service:

Domestic violence

On July 25, 2017 officers with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested a 36-year-old male in relation to a domestic violence investigation. 

It is alleged that on July 25, the accused intentionally caused damage to a vehicle owned by his ex-wife while it was parked.

The accused was later arrested by police and charged with one count of mischief under $5,000. He will appear in court on Aug. 30, 2017. 

Theft

On July 25, 2017 offices with the Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service arrested 43-year-old Israel Neveau with regards to a theft investigation. 

It is alleged that the accused attended a business in the 200-block of Bay Street where he selected just under $150 worth of merchandise before leaving the store without paying. 

The accused was later located by police and arrested. He has been charged with one count of theft under $5,000. 

He will appear in court on Aug. 28, 2017.
