A 23-year old female was arrested yesterday morning and charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 30th of July the accused and her common law partner got into an argument which resulted in the accused striking the male victim in the face. The victim required medical attention for non life threatening injuries. The accused will appear in bail court this morning.

Yesterday morning 21-year old Candice Champagne of 819 Trunk Road #402 was arrested on an outstanding warrant for theft under $5,000. It is alleged that on the 7th of July the accused attended at Food Basics on Trunk Road, placed multiple meat products in a cart and left the store without paying for them. The accused was observed by two customers who reported the theft. One witness was able provide the licence plate number of the vehicle the accused left in. City Police were called and after viewing surveillance footage they were able to identify the accused. She will appear in bail court this morning.

On July 30, 2013 at 3:07 pm Police Officers attended Savings World at 25 Trunk Rd for 3 females being held for theft of a stolen drill set. At 3:00 pm the owner of the drill set attended Savings World and spotted the females pawning his drill set. Officers learned the set had just previously been stolen from a work site on Wellington St. East. Officers arrested and charged Jessica Cadreau, age 18 of 198 Mission Rd., Wawa, Ontario, Sherry Stone, age 40 of 4 Wigwaas Dr., Wawa, Ontario and Tasha Stone, age 20 of 23 Whitesands Dr., Wawa, Ontario with Theft under $5000.00 and Possession of Stolen Property under $5000.00. All three will appear in court on Sept. 9th.
