Afternoon news On the 11th of June 2014 at 10:30 am 44 year old Jeffrey Frolich of Ferguson Avenue attended at the city Police Services building and turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.

On the 11th of June 2014 at 10:30 am 44 year old Jeffrey Frolich of Ferguson Avenue attended at the city Police Services building and turned himself in on an outstanding warrant.  The warrant was in relation to failing to attend court in October 2013 for a shoplifting charge.  He will appear in court on July 14, 2014. 

There were 3 reports of theft from vehicle overnight.  The vehicles entered were in the 100 block of Konkin Ave., the 100 block of Sunnydale Road, and the 100 block of Beaumont Ave.  The unlocked vehicles had an Ipod, cash and Lottery Tickets stolen. 

On the 11th of June 2014 the Sault Ste. Marie Police Service investigated a domestic complaint. Officers learned that a female was complaining of being repeated called by an ex-boyfriend a 39 year old male. The accused was on a recognizance of bail and a probation order to not communicate with or harass or annoy the complainant.  The accused has been charged with 2 counts of breach of recognizance and 2 counts of breach of probation.  He will appear in bail court on June 12th, 2014.

On the 10th of June at approximately 4 p.m., a homeowner on Sunnydale Road reported a break and enter. The break in occurred during the daytime hours. Items take include a Dell laptop, U.S. currency, alcohol and jewellery.
 
Last evening a homeowner on Pilgrim Street reported a break and enter that had occurred during the daytime hours. Items taken include cash, a Play Station 3 as well as surveillance system.

A 16-year-old youth was arrested last night on a recently issued warrant which had him charged with possession of a weapon dangerous, administer a noxious substance and assault with a weapon. It is alleged the youth entered a centrally located apartment building on June 8 and sprayed what appeared to be bear mace within the building directing it towards a specific person. When the youth was arrested on the 10th of June he was found to be in possession of a can of bear spray and further charged accordingly. He will be appearing in bail court this morning.
