The Sault Police Service was called yesterday afternoon to investigate an accident on Trunk Road. At 3:50 p.m., a 1994 Nissan, operated by Anne Chow, age 71 of McMeeken Street, had been proceeding westbound on Trunk Road when it collided with the rear of a 1992 Pontiac Transport van that had also been westbound but had stopped to turn left. The Pontiac was driven by 51-year-old Marie Foster of Oak Park Crescent. Both vehicles received minor damage. Foster received minor injuries for which she sought treatment on her own. Chow was issued a summons for careless driving.
