24 Yr Old Faces Assault Charge

A 24-year old male will appear in bail court this morning. It is alleged that the accused and his common-law girlfriend got into a verbal argument yesterday morning in their west end residence. It is alleged that the accused pushed the victim onto the floor. The male was on probation at the time of the incident with conditions to keep the peace and be good. The male has been charged with one count of assault and one count of breach of probation.

Impaired Driver

Just after midnight last night officers on routine patrol stopped a vehicle on Great Northern Road in the area of Pim Street after the vehicle was observed leaving a drinking establishment. The driver of the vehicle pulled into a parking lot in the area and parked the vehicle. When officers approached the driver they observed signs of impairment. 23-year old Jason Reed of 287 First Avenue has been charged with one count of consume over the legal limit. He will appear in court on July 10th.

Update To Vehicle Break In On Churchill

Yesterday’s release:

Just after 4 am this morning a resident in the 100 block of Churchill Avenue called to report three youths were trying to break into his vehicle. The youths fled the area but officers apprehended one of the suspects. A 19-year old male is currently in custody in relation to this incident. It is alleged that the accused stole a small amount of change of vehicles in this area. The male has been charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime, one count of trespass by night and one count of breach of probation. Officers are continuing their investigation into this incident and as a result the paper work is being processed. At this time the name of the accused cannot be released pending the laying of the information.

Update:

The 19-year old male that was arrested yesterday morning and charged with the offences is 19-year old Mark Nedeau of 196 Second Line West. Mr. Nedeau will appear in court on July 10th.

Assault Causing Bodily Harm

40-year old Paul Khull of 209-352B Dacey Road was arrested last evening and charged with one count of assault causing bodily harm. It is alleged that on the 2nd of June the accused assaulted a male known to him. The victim required medical treatment for non-life threatening injuries. The incident took place in a centrally located drinking establishment. Mr. Khull will appear in court on July 10th.

Teo Break & Enters

Yesterday morning City Police received a report of a break and enter that occurred between 4 pm on the 5th of June and 9:45 am on the 6th of June. A home in the 100 block Jemmette Street was entered and a large coin collection, a quantity of jewellery and an undisclosed amount of cash were taken.

Yesterday between 5:30 pm and 7 pm a home in the 700 block of Landslide Road was entered and thieves made off with a number of DVD’s.
