On March 18, at 9:55 am, Patrol Officers attended the intersection of North St. and Bloor St. for a complaint of a vehicle on the sidewalk. Officers spoke to the driver of the vehicle and asked the driver to provide a roadside breath test.

Officers spoke to the driver of the vehicle and asked the driver to provide a roadside breath test. The driver, Michael Bothwell, age 22 of Essex Lane, failed the test and was arrested and charged with Driving over .08. He was brought the Police Services Building where further breath tests were performed. He will appear in in court on April 20th.

On March 18, 2015 at 11:15 am Patrol Officers arrested a 32 year old female for breaching her probation. Officers learned that the female, Lynn Kwissiwa, age 32 of Frontenac St. Rankin Reserve, was wanted on a warrant for Breach of Probation. She will appear in court on April 20th.

On March 18, 2015 at 11:35 am Heidi Robinson, age 28 of Albert St. East, turned herself in at the Police Services Building. She was wanted on the charge of Failing to Attend for Fingerprinting. She will appear in court on April 20.

On March 15 it is alleged a 24-year-old male invited a female known to him to his residence. After a short time, the female wished to leave but the male would not allow her to do so, locking the doors and grabbing on to her. After approximately 45 minutes the female was able to run out a side door of the residence and later report the incident to city police. Shortly after midnight on March 18, the accused was arrested by patrol officers along with members of the Drug Enforcement Unit and charged with one count of forcible confinement. He will be appearing in Bail Court this morning.

A 17-year-old male was checked by city police patrol officers last evening in the downtown area. Further investigation revealed the youth was on conditions to reside at a certain address, which he was not, as well as not to consume alcohol, which he was. As a result he was charged with 2 counts of breaching an undertaking and will be appearing in Bail Court this morning as well.

Shortly before 9 p.m. last night, city police received a call of a home invasion in the downtown area. It is alleged two masked persons entered a residence; one of them was armed with a firearm and ordered the occupants to the floor while they stole prescription narcotics. The two suspects then fled the area. Canine was called in to assist with negative results. No injuries were sustained by the residents. The two suspects were described as wearing dark clothing, balaclavas, early 20s, one approximately 6’ and slender, the other shorter and stocky. The investigation is continuing.
