On Monday, May 29 2017, officers with Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrest a 25-year-old male in relation to a domestic violence incident.

Male charged in domestic violence incident

On Monday, May 29 2017, officers with Patrol Services Division of the Sault Ste Marie Police Service arrest a 25-year-old male in relation to a domestic violence incident.

It is alleged that on May 29, the victim was walking with her boyfriend in the downtown area. The two engaged in a verbal argument and the accused pushed the victim then threw a beer can at her striking her in the back of the head.

Police were contacted and the accused was later located and arrested.  He has been charged with one count of assault and one count of assault with a weapon and was held for bail court.
