A 53-year-old male was arrested by city police detectives on November 25 and charged with 4 separate sexual offences.

A 53-year-old male was arrested by city police detectives on November 25 and charged with 4 separate sexual offences. It is alleged the accused invited, exploited and assaulted a young female under the age of 14 years in a sexual manner between 1986 and 1998. The accused has been charged with sexual interference, sexual exploitation, invitation to sexual touching and sexual assault. He will be appearing in Provincial Court on December 29.

Shortly after 11 p.m. last night, city police were called to a parking lot in the 400 block of Trunk Road. where 5 tires were stolen from a vehicle parked in that lot. A white Ford pickup truck was seen leaving the area heading east on Trunk Rpad.

26-year-old Ryan Derasp of Bruce Street was observed by store security at Rome’s at the Deli section of the store selecting food items and then attending the coffee shop of the store where he consumed the food items and then attempted to leave without paying. He was charged with theft and will be appearing in Provincial Court December 29.

21-year-old Adrianna Rice of no fixed address was charged with theft under $5000 on November 25, after it was alleged she attempted to leave Sears without paying for various items of jewellery, sunglasses and chocolates. She will be appearing in Provincial Court on December 29.
