A woman is facing multiple charges after staff members at a west-end building were kicked, scratched and hit with a purse.

On Sept. 12 at around 5:20 p.m., Sault Police were dispatched to the building in the 200 block of Wellington Street West for a report of an “unwanted person.”

Police allege the suspect “threatened staff and assaulted them by scratching them, hitting them with a purse, and kicking them.”

No one was injured, police say.

Shawna Boyle, 36, is charged with assault, assault with a weapon and uttering threats.

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.

None of the allegations have been tested in court and Boyle is presumed innocent unless proven guilty.
