On April 22, 2019, officers with the Investigation Services division of the Sault Ste. Marie Police Serviced arrested 39-year-old Cheristy Syrette of no fixed address on outstanding warrants.
On April 22, 2019, police observed the accused in the downtown area. Officers confirmed the accused was wanted on outstanding warrants and took her into custody. Once at the Police Services Building, the accused was found to be in possession of a small amount of white powder believed to be cocaine.
She is charged with one count of possession of a controlled substance, one count of fail to appear in court, one count of breach of recognizance, one count of theft and three counts of breach of probation.
She was held for bail court.
