Woman faces robbery charge

Police say the 29-year-old approached a victim and pushed them to the ground

A local woman faces charges after allegedly pushing a victim to the ground and stealing their purse. 

Police say the accused is alleged to have made two purchases using bank cards belonging to the victim. When the accused was located by police, a search found her to be in possession of identification and bank cards belonging to the victim.

As a result, 29-year-old Tasha Stone-Perron was arrested and charged.

On March 17, 2022, officers with Patrol Services charged 29-year-old Tasha Stone-Perron with robbery.

On March 16, 2022, around 10:30 a.m. the accused approached a victim in the 0-100 block of Brock Street, pushed them to the ground and stole their purse. Around 12:40 p.m. the accused attended a business in the 300 block of Queen Street and made two purchases, totaling approximately $108, using the victim’s bank cards.

Around 1:40 p.m. the accused attended a business in the 100 block of Tancred Street and unsuccessfully attempted to make three purchases with the victim’s bank cards.

On March 17, 2022, officers located the accused on Queen Street, and she was arrested. A subsequent search found her to be in possession of identification and bank cards belonging to the victim.

She is charged with,

  • Robbery
  • Unauthorized possession of credit card data x4
  • Unauthorized use of credit card data x2
  • Possession of property obtained by crime

She was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
