The Sault Climate Hub is hosting a webinar presentation by Paul Norris, President, Ontario Waterpower Association on Wednesday, September 25th at 7:30 pm.
Paul Norris is the President of the Ontario Waterpower Association (OWA). The OWA has 150 members (generator, legal, environmental, engineering, project finance, construction, Indigenous) and is focused on public policy affecting waterpower. The organization is committed to the sustainable development and management of Ontario’s waterpower resources.
In this presentation Paul will give an overview of Ontario’s current waterpower facilities and the outline the potential for additional hydroelectric infrastructure. He will also describe how waterpower can play an important role in moving Ontario to zero greenhouse gas emissions from electricity generation and the challenges hydroelectric generation faces with a changing climate.
