The Groves Hospital Volunteer Association (GHVA) is excited to announce our Volunteer Open House on November 18 from 1 PM to 3 PM! This is a fantastic opportunity for community members to explore how they can give back, meet new people, and support Groves Hospital.

📍 Groves Memorial Community Hospital: In the Lobby by the Gift Shop, 131 Frederick Campbell Street, Fergus
Drop in to tour both locations, enjoy refreshments, and chat with us about volunteer opportunities. Discover how you can contribute to programs like the Hospital Elder Life Program (HELP), support the hospital information desk, or help run the New to You Fergus thrift store. We’ll walk you through the variety of ways you can make a difference, whether you're looking to develop new skills, meet people, or simply give back to your community. Plus, take advantage of the exclusive discounts available at both locations, giving you even more reason to stop by and shop!
This event is part of Community Connect, a township-wide initiative designed to match passionate individuals with organizations and causes that rely on volunteers. Whether you're drawn to local non-profits, service clubs, or community events, Community Connect helps bridge the gap between volunteers and the organizations that need them most.
About Us
Founded in 1933, the Groves Hospital Volunteer Association (GHVA) has spent over 90 years supporting Groves Memorial Hospital and improving the health and wellness of our community. For more than 70 years, we have proudly operated the New to You thrift store, which serves as a vital source of funding for the hospital. To date, we’ve raised over $4.3 million, including a $1 million pledge we're actively fulfilling. All of this is made possible by our incredible volunteers.
