Adopt Me: Charlie would love a home for Christmas (adopted)

She would do best in a home where she is the only pet

SooToday, in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and The Animal Assistance Group (TAAG), brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Charlie

(Humane Society)

We hope all of our shelter pets will find forever homes for the holidays, but no one more than Charlie! She has been with us for more than a year and has undergone two knee surgeries on her hind legs.

She is a very sweet girl and will do best in a home where she is your only pet. Her new family must have a well-established relationship with their veterinarian and experience with a pet who has had orthopedic surgery would be an asset. Her exercise, diet and living environment will have to be monitored for the rest of her life.

Like all charities, COVID has impacted our ability to fundraise and our events for this year had to be cancelled. To ensure we can continue to help pets like Charlie, you can check out our 24-hour auctions on our Facebook page or visit the shelter or our website to make a donation.

Thank you to everyone who supported the shelter this year by adopting, fostering or donating.  It has been a difficult year, but with your patience and understanding you made it a dream come true for more than 700 cats, dogs and little critters.

Merry Christmas to all and best wishes for the new year!
