SooToday, in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and The Animal Assistance Group (TAAG), brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Stamkos

(Humane Society)

Stamkos has been patiently waiting to find his forever loving home for the past seven months. There has been some interest in adopting him, however, he has proven to be insecure and slightly fearful of new people.

Stamkos is a very sweet boy who loves going for walks, exploring, playing fetch, and rolling over for a belly rub. He has great recall, easy to walk on leash and is housebroken.

He was surrendered to the shelter as he was not compatible in the home setting. He is currently on medication to help with his anxiety.

We believe he will thrive in the proper home setting, which would be a single person without children, who has the time and patience for him to adjust to his new life.

We would require the potential adopter to come to the shelter a few times to get to know him prior to adoption.

Please contact the Humane Society at (705) 949-3573 for more information about adopting Stamkos.
