SooToday, in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and The Animal Assistance Group, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Chicky

(TAAG)

Chicky is about 8 years old but still looks like a young girl. Being an older cat, her favorite things to do are look out the window at the world going by and stretch out on the floor.

Her long hair is brushed frequently to show her beautiful coat which is silky and soft. Chicky likes calmness and when there is too much commotion a the shelter, she just puts herself back in her cage for a break from everyone.

Volunteers say Chicky is the tidiest cat at the shelter with the neatest cage.

Chicky would prefer a quiet home. She has a reduced adoption rate.

Cats and kittens released for adoption have had a Wellness checkup at the vet’s, FELV testing, shots, dewormer, and flea medication if needed.

If you would like to meet or adopt any of the kittens, or any of the available cats, please contact us.

Visit us at The Animal Assistance Group (TAAG) Website, where you will find information on shelter location, hours of operation, ways to help, and adoption information.

The Animal Assistance Group (TAAG) is a non-profit registered charity located at 189 Elgin Street, Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, offering rescue foster and ultimately permanent adoption of homeless, unwanted, or neglected pets.

While these animals are in our care, medical attention, spay/neuter services and lots of love are provided until homes are found. Homeless cats stay with TAAG until adopted.
