SooToday, in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and The Animal Assistance Group, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.
Jasper
(TAAG)
In May, Jasper was found in the parking lot of the Cambrian Mall by very kind people. Someone had forced him inside a box, closing it up so that he was trapped inside, unable to escape.
Luckily, his cries for help were heard, he was kept safe overnight, snuggling up to the finders’ dog, then he was brought to TAAG to be taken care of.
Jasper is a loving cat who likes being petted from volunteers at the shelter. If they stop before Jasper has had enough love, he pushes his face into their hand until they get the hint.
Jasper would love a forever home where he can feel safe and happy and have his own family to help him forget what happened to him in the spring.
Jasper is one of the black cats available for adoption. Statistically, black cats in shelters are the last to find homes, if at all.
All cats and kittens released for adoption have had a Wellness checkup at the vet’s, FELV testing, shots, dewormer, and flea medication if needed.
If you would like to meet or adopt Jasper, or any of the available cats, please contact us.
