SooToday, in partnership with the Sault Ste. Marie Humane Society and The Animal Assistance Group, brings you a regular feature highlighting a special pet that is in need of adoption.

Sweetie Pie is a 5-year-old spayed female who came to us as a transfer from the S.A.D. animal shelter in Elliot Lake. 

At some point in her life she suffered a trauma that resulted in her right front leg being amputated. 

It was later discovered that she also suffered some damage to her bladder for which she has had surgery. 

She gets around amazingly well and has a very spunky attitude!
