Joey

(The Cavy Corner)

I have Joey, a 4-month-old male Abyssinian guinea pig. Joey is very healthy and happy.

He loves snuggles, and though he can be a bit skittish when first picked up (a very common guinea pig trait), he will become more comfortable with regular handling.

Joey is currently living in a foster home with dogs, cats and children, and appears to be getting along well with all of them!

He will only be adopted into a home that currently has a male guinea pig, as guinea pigs are very social creatures, and must be kept in pairs or groups.

He may also be adopted into a home with a female guinea pig, however the adoptive family would be asked to make a small donation toward his neuter.

Guinea pigs can live approximately 8-10 years and require a lot of care.

They need annual visits to a veterinarian, as well as medical attention when they are sick.

They need constant access to fresh Timothy hay and water. They need daily access to fresh guinea pig pellets, and fresh vegetables high in Vitamin C.

Guinea pigs are wonderful pets who will give you years of love and enjoyment if you care for them properly.

Joey is still considered a baby guinea pig, and has a long life ahead of him.

He needs a home that will be committed to his needs for the rest of his life.

If you think you may be able to give Joey a good home, please contact the rescue to fill out an adoption application.

We can be reached through our Facebook page The Cavy Corner Small Animal Rescue, through our email thecavycorner@hotmail.com, through our website www.thecavycorner.com or by phone 705-297-9777

Joey is anxiously awaiting your call!
