The Sault Ste. Marie COVID-19 Assessment Centre, located at 165 Drive In Rd., remains open for testing following the closure last month of the Westend Clinic due to the news that area long-term care home residents are now being tested using rapid testing devices.
The centre will be open from 8 a.m. - 8 p.m, seven days a week, and testing is available to anyone aged two or older.

Anyone wishing to book an appointment is asked to call (705) 759-3434 ext. 7152. Staff at the Assessment Centre will then determine if an in-centre or drive-up testing appointment is required.
The Centre continues to provide testing to target groups such as caregivers/visitors in long term care facilities.
As per Ontario government guidelines, the centre does not provide testing for asymptomatic individuals unless they are part of a target group such as caregivers/visitors in long term care facilities.
